Joey, Founder of Bit Pi Academy
Hi, I’m Joey, the founder of Bit Pi Academy. I began my tutoring journey at Bunker Hill Community College, where I first discovered how much I enjoy working closely with students and helping them make sense of math.
Over the years, what has kept me going is seeing real progress—when a student improves their score, gains confidence, or starts to approach problems with clarity. Just as meaningful are the relationships built along the way, watching students grow and move closer to their goals, including getting into the colleges they’ve been working toward.
I hold a Master’s degree from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, which support my structured and analytical approach to teaching math.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active through hiking, biking, long-distance rides, and participating in 5K and 10K races.

Through a structured, personalized approach, I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps so students can think independently and solve problems with confidence.
The goal isn’t just short-term improvement, but lasting progress—helping students perform better, feel more confident, and be fully prepared for higher-level math and college expectations.
